What is Tattoo Removal?

Tattoo removal is a non-surgical treatment designed to gradually break down unwanted tattoo pigment, allowing the body to naturally clear the fragmented ink over time. Treatment is tailored according to factors such as tattoo colour, size, location, ink depth, and skin type.

Rather than removing the tattoo in a single treatment, the process works progressively through a series of sessions. The tattoo gradually becomes lighter as the treated pigment is cleared, with appropriate intervals between sessions to allow the skin to heal and the body to process the fragmented ink.

What Can Affect Tattoo Removal?

Tattoo Colour

Different ink colours respond differently to treatment. Some colours may require specific treatment settings or additional sessions to achieve significant fading.

Ink Depth & Density

Tattoos with deeper or densely packed pigment may take longer to fade than tattoos with lighter or less concentrated ink.

Tattoo Age

Older tattoos may sometimes respond differently from newer tattoos, depending on the type and concentration of pigment used.

Tattoo Location

The body’s ability to clear fragmented pigment can vary depending on the treatment area and individual circulation.

Individual Skin Response

Everyone responds differently to tattoo removal. The number of sessions and degree of fading will vary between individuals, and complete removal cannot always be guaranteed.
